Soccer at the 3rd and 4th grade level is getting more fun to watch and is almost getting exciting. I can see a lot of improvement in Zach and the rest of the boys. The have won 2 games and tied another.
This past weekend we enjoyed another wonderful time at Mahoney State Park. It was too cool to use the pool, but we still had fun anyway. It was windy on top of the observation tower.
We took Grandma and Grandpa Josten with us.

Cale was ready to start his first day of Kindergarten today. He was more ready than I was. He didn't seem bothered by anything. After he got on the bus, Eric and I went to the school to make sure he knew where to go, Cale's comment- "You're not coming here tomorrow, are you?" I teared up when I took a picture of him in his Kindergarten room, as he puts his backpack in his locker, he says to the first boy he sees, "Hi, What's your name? My name is Cale" He is more outgoing then Eric, Zach and me put together. I can hardly wait for him to come home and tell me about his day.
Zach was ready to start third grade today. Last night, I asked him what he was feeling- sad, happy, nervous, excited, worried, etc. His response, "I'm 99% excited and 1% nervous." I always worry the first couple weeks of school- hoping and praying they have good teachers and make great friends. It's hard for me with the boys being in such a bigger school then I was. Each year, they have only about 5-7 kids from the previous year, so each year is kind of new.

We waited all summer for our family vacation to the Wisconsin Dells and it was worth the wait. It was such a fun family get away. We spent three nights at the Dells and spent the 4 days we were there primarily at the Wilderness Resort. We loved it there. Three major indoor and three major outdoor waterparks. The days flew by as we spent the days in the water. It would have been ideal if the temps were a little warmer- but we were still able to enjoy.
Each outdoor park area had fun things to do- like this rope thing, also slides, lazy rivers, basketball, volleyball and plenty area just to swim.
Cale doing a belly flop. I love this picture- mainly because it makes me smile, but also because I actually caught it, so many action shots I try, I am seconds late- you would just see the splash or nothing.
Zach's a lot like me- prefers it warm, but when we were a little chilly outside, we would find our towels and warm up or Zach's favorite- find a hot tub.
Cale loved the body slides, maybe do to the fact- he had to sneak on. The rules say 48", Cale is 46". Some of the workers paid more attention then others. A good parent would make him follow the rules, but hey he knows how to swim and we knew he would be safe, so we made a call. Just hope we don't hear, but I broke the rules at Wisconsin Dells when I was five . . .

Cale loved being right out in the middle of it. 
This past weekend we had our annual Gray family reunion. It is something I always look forward to. The only problem is the day goes by too quickly and I would love spending more time with my aunts and uncles and cousins.
My immediate family- it's not too often any more we all get together.

I remember doing this as a kid, so here's to hoping the boys will remember too.

Dad hung out all day. If we ever questioned dad and his being cold all the time, well he proved to us he could handle the heat. Over 90 degrees, jeans, long sleeve shirt and long johns, yes I said long johns and I don't think he even broke a sweat.
Mom- she is amazing. A few years from 70 and get her in an amusement park and it's if she is a teenager. Riding rollar coasters and water slides, hope I can do the same when I get to be her age.

Spent a couple nights camping out at Saylorville. Miss the air of the camper, but it got cool enough at night, we all slept well. Fun family times!

On Friday night, we celebrated Cale's preschool graduation from Mercy Child Development Center. It was nice to have both sets of grandparents there. Zach and Cale will be going to Mercy daycare this summer and then we will be done there. I am really going to miss talking with the teachers. We have been so blessed by having such a great daycare.

I am not sure why Zach turned out blurry, maybe because he was still in motion. Some of Cale's buddies have been together since they were babies. I know he will make friends in school, but I think he will miss seeing his friends at daycare.
